Betsy Foy

Betsy Foy joined Life-Long Leadership in 2005. She has been actively involved with the training and development department within the organization. Her primary responsibilities include teaching courses focused on interpersonal skills such as listening, coaching, and feedback. She also facilitates Myers-Briggs workshops.

In addition to working as a consulting partner with L3, Betsy is co-owner of Summit Tutoring Centers and president of EBF Learning Solutions. Summit Tutoring Centers allows her to utilize her background in public education by providing tutoring in all academic subjects to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Her work with EBF Learning Solutions expands her training experience to include topics on classroom management, student motivation, business writing, and innovative thinking.

From 1998 to 2005, Betsy was a seventh grade English teacher. She was responsible for designing lessons to engage her students in the learning process. She also created supplemental materials and evaluations to assess student learning. Conferences with parents allowed her to implement strategies to help all students be successful in the classroom. In addition, she took on extra roles of volleyball coach and dance team coach.

Betsy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in elementary education. There she served as region president of the Student Pennsylvania State Education Association (SPSEA). She was also inducted into Pi Lambda Theta (an educational honor society) and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. In 2004, she completed her MS in education with a focus on integrating technology in the classroom.

Betsy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She currently lives in Tucker, Georgia with her sister. She has a very adventurous streak, which has inspired her to engage in activities such as skydiving, hang gliding, whitewater rafting, and rappelling. It's hard to say what her next adventure will be! Betsy is also an avid sports fan and especially enjoys playing volleyball.
