Sarah Garmen

 

In 2007, Sarah Garmen joined Life-Long Leadership as their Event Coordinator responsible for managing all aspects of events including researching and securing venues, making travel arrangements and maintaining correspondence.  In addition to doing event coordination, late in 2010, Sarah took on the scheduling duties for the CEO. 

Prior to her work in this field, Sarah was an educator for six years. During her stay in education, Sarah was a special education teacher serving students with special needs. In this role, she instructed students based on individual needs, wrote Individualized Education Plans, and teamed with parents and therapy staff in order to create the most effective environment for student growth.

Sarah also served on her school's Intervention Assistance Team. This team helped to create plans, through parent, teacher and team discussion, for students who were struggling in an academic or behavioral area. As a member of this team, Sarah helped organize and execute interventions, as well as, serve as a liaison between staff members and the team.

Sarah received her bachelor's degree in special education from Bowling Green State University and her master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Dayton.

Sarah currently resides with her husband and two children in Columbus, Ohio.
