A certified practitioner of MBTI and a certified meeting facilitator, Sheila Douglas joined the Life-Long Leadership (L3) team in October 2015 as a part-time Office Manager and Executive Assistant and has grown into the role of a Leadership Consultant. Her 30-year professional career has been spent working with leaders and teams on development, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth.
Prior to joining L3, Sheila was a Director of Associate Relations for The Home Depot (THD). Her primary responsibilities included developing strategies that helped the company maintain a union-free status, creating plans that promoted a positive associate relations environment and protecting THD’s brand by advising leaders on decisions that comply with its’ values, governmental laws and policies. Prior to this role, she held various director and manager HR generalist roles where she was responsible for training, organizational effectiveness, performance management, succession planning, and compliance. Sheila worked for THD for fifteen years. Before she joined THD, she worked at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL.
Sheila currently serves as a volunteer at Vinings United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA. She also sits and serves on the Board of Directors for Crime Victims Advocacy Council (CVAC). She is addicted to cooking shows, food documentaries, and reading stories about people’s lives.
Sheila holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University in Deerfield, IL. She is a certified Mediator and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Sheila is a native of Waukegan, IL and currently resides in Marietta, Georgia with her husband Joseph.
